Thank you for your visit! December 16, in Story Discussion. Back in the early days Mabinogi Heroes Vindictus was set to be the prequel to Mabinogi by devs design. Though as the years went on MabiHeroes changed directors and eventually went off path story wise.
I heard a while back that they changed the plan of tied story to it's own thing. Is that true? If so do people still see it as a tie in?
Mabinogi Heroes and Mabinogi still connected? Asking if Vindictus will be better than Mabinogi would be kind of like asking if Dust will be better than Eve Online. Both are related in story, but they're very, very different games. That said, Mabinogi I gave a try but I couldn't really get into it because no one wants to talk to me. It seems to be designed as a very social game but no one wanted to socialize with me in particular, alas. But Vindictus, that's one I really like and will probably keep playing.

User Info: zhenghan zhenghan 11 years ago 7 This game and mabinogi doesn't have that much in common pretty much different games. I play for the gameplay though and not for the world chat. The game appeals to the improvement of player skills just as much, if not more, than gear progression.
